The year 1968 changed the world. Like for all others, it has been a source of inspiration also for LGBT individuals. Until 1969, LGBT people were expelled by their families, they could not be visible in the streets, etc. In these circumstances the only place where they could be as they are, was suppressed by police forces. It was not possible to be free, to express different sexual orientation and gender identity without bribing police forces.

At the night of June 28 to June 29, the destiny of many in the LGBT community had changed totally. It started with breaking a beer bottle on the head of a police officer. And full four days of riots started. LGBT individuals rebelled for their rights of existence and right to live. Therefore all around the world 28th of June is celebrated as LGBT Pride Parade where LGBT individuals demand their democratic rights while commemorating 1969 riots.
