Accordingly, Initiative Against Homophobia is a civil society organisation which intend to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of LGBT people and to increase the acknowledgement of people toward LGBT people. Initiative Against Homophobia, currently deals with the amendment of the Chapter 154 Criminal Law which regulates homosexuality as `Crimes Against Nature` and creates inequality and discrimination within society. Thus, Initiative Against Homophobia demands a quick amendment of articles 171,172 and 173 which forbid sexual freedom and fundamental rights of LGBT people. In this regards, Initiative presented a Proposal for Criminal Code Amendment to the Parliament but it has not been discussed yet. As soon as Criminal Code amendment take place, Initiative, aims to support parliament for further laws such as Anti-discrimination laws which would protect LGBT people against discrimination; homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. | |
